Gerardo García is a conservationist, a biologist and the Head of Herpetology at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust (DWCT) in Jersey. But first and foremost he is a wildlife lover. Inspired by the naturalists Gerald Durrell, Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente and Jean Jacques Cousteau, Barcelona-born Gerardo made it his goal in life to work with wildlife and, in particular, reptiles and amphibians. |

The aim of this website is, therefore, to provide its visitors with an understanding and respect for the natural world around them. With access to detailed, scientific information and a plethora of wildlife images from around the world, the site appeals not only to the scientific-minded, but also those who have an appreciation and love of nature. It is Gerardo’s hope that through the material provided on the site, visitors will be galvanised to deepen their awareness of the natural world as well as be inspired to embrace conservation proactively. |
